The #MeToo and Times Up movements have brought huge attention to the challenges women face at work, but a new survey finds that 60% of male managers say theyre uncomfortable mentoring, working one-on-one or socializing with a woman.
According to the survey, released by LeanIn.org and SurveyMonkey, thats a 33% increase from last year.
Senior-level men also say they are 12 times more likely to be hesitant about one-on-one meetings with a junior woman than they are a junior man, nine times more likely to be hesitant to travel with a junior woman for work than a junior man, and six times more likely to be hesitant to have a work dinner with a junior woman than a junior man.

Now the article is written by a young lady, and frankly gets (way too) concerned with justifying feminism.
But I think it is at least interesting, that some women are maybe (starting) to get the first tiny clue, of the difficulties they are causing to all society.
For real.
Interesting, anyway.
No manager in their right mind gets anywhere close to a female as a trainee or coworker now.
They get monosyllabic answers, nothing more then the absolute minimum to answer questions, and zero interaction beyond that.
If they end up feeling like they’re alone on an island...you sailed the boat here Susie.
Were just headed back to the old rules - you mentor family. Employees get trained.
Complete fantasy projection. No evidence, whatsoever.
This is right out of the Jungle Book, by Rudyard Kipling: He had the monkeys, who were despised, telling themselves they were the wisest and strongest of the jungle people. "We all say so, so it must be true!"
That is what you get in a Leftist echo chamber.
It’s finally dawning on some. There is going to be collateral damage to that mob approach of presuming all men are dirty pawed molesters and bullies. This is just the beginning.
Well said and right on.
The ongoing Leftist indoctrination of so much of the population is insidious and evil.
Regarding your point on truth: The Truth to the Left is whatever they want and wish it to be..
Why not ask men why they’re not uncomfortable where they were not before? Instead she assumes and then blames the men. I’m sure that’s not a contributing factor /s
We cannot continue to coexist with these evil people for much longer before all hell breaks loose.
A male at work should never be in the presence of a female where the two of them are the only ones in the room.
The alternative is to wear one of those concealed button cameras and have it turned all all the time.
Get the kind of camera that loop records and then save the video in a cataloged manner.
Be sure each video contains a segment of a TV news show or some other event that can be used to verify the date.
Basically we need weak, ineffective leadership because the goal is not economic success, it’s making employees feel comfortable.
Power corrupts. It does not matter what race or gender it is.
I’ve now pulled back from being in one:one settings with female colleagues. I’m close to retirement and therefore have the huge network younger employees need, but that network will die with my career, because I can’t risk getting slapped with some false allegations this late in the game.
What’s funny is how Sandberg et al keep insisting that I have some mentoring obligation. Sorry, but I have zero risk tolerance when it comes to a situation where the accuser is always right and I’m guilty until proven innocent.
We do not need women leadership in any work place because for it to survive there has to be a man above her, twice the expense.
I had plenty of female bosses above me and most of them were Machiavellian constantly plotting to compensate their deficiencies. Not really a good experience.
I have never had a woman boss but have worked on jobs where
some of the employees worked under them and I saw a lot of stupid
stuff from both sides that would not have been if a man would have
been in charge.
This is obviously a self-correcting problem. Soon there will be no more white male managers; then there will only be women to mentor women.
They mocked Mike Pence when he let it be known that he never got into situations where he had to be alone with a woman. Now he is setting the standard.
And the hocus-pocus of “diversity is our strength”
Then they will claim they have to fight the "enduring legacy of white privilege".
When you deal in fantasy rather than facts and logic, there is no end of the excuses you can create.
