There are no tricks. It’s called ugly history. The left is mum and trying to tiptoe around the reality of the icon that they built.

The legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. stands on it’s own merit and is not to be conflated 50 years later with MAGA or Reagan/Bush/Trump, etc. Nothing King will retard the advancement or the accomplishments of the Civil Rights Movement. He did not stand alone just because he was the one fallen. However, it will change the historical perspective of him, as a leader.

Black Conservatives and MAGA leaders will not jump ship due to King’s 1960’s orgies. They are already independent thinkers and not part of the parasitic herd of the Left. It was King that defamed Barry Goldwater and the Republican Party and compelled black voters NOT to vote Republican, reducing our Black R vote by 1/3rd (32-38% to 10-14%)

Based upon RR’s comments regarding MLK Day, Reagan most likely had heard everything the rest of the FBI, Kennedy’s, & DOJ had learned over the 20 years prior about King.

Nothing which is written here will prevent the exposure of the TRUTH. We can not stop the FOIA requests for the records from media sources or other MLK biographers which are already being processed. King’s protection time expired 2017.

YI think the information should be released, but I also know that a lot of voters are ignorant and easily manipulated by identity politics. I agree that people should be able to separate the idea of what MLK stood for publicly from the man he supposedly was in private, but many aren't capable of that kind of rationale thinking

Until the actual tapes are released I don't think it will be an issue, but when they are the left will try to use legitimate attacks on his character, as attacks on the civil rights movement. Not everyone looks at these kinds of issues in a rational manner. You can see how easy it is to divide people by looking at groups like BLM lying about the Michael Brown shooting, and then seeing some on the right immediately start siding with law enforcement in cases they shouldn't like the Philando Castile shooting.

There are a lot more people on the right who look at the evidence in each case before forming an opinion compared to the other side, but there are still plenty who blindly side with their team before they have all the facts. That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about trying to avoid if possible. I think we should release all documents from the 60’s showing the disgusting things going on behind the scenes with civilian leaders, along with people in our government.
