At 25% either the importer or/and the wholesaler eat it or the retailer says, “no thanks” and buys the shirt elsewhere. Clothing is made in many different countries and all would be anxious get a foot in the door.
Keep in mind that we are the buyer for 80% of everything Mexico exports. Not good business pissing off your biggest customer.

For sure although if the cartels are calling the shots, and many think they are, they probably could care less if Mexico pisses us off.Trump carries a big stick but uses it sparingly.

(Mexico caving and securing their southern border) would have happened anyway due to prior negoatiatons but that’s all BS since Trump would never have done this if his intel told him Mexico’s Southern border was anything but wide open.
