"Allsop suggested the site needed to take educational context into account rather than rely on automated processes: I fully support YouTubes increased efforts to curb hate speech, but also feel that silencing the very people who seek to teach about its dangers could be counter-productive to YouTubes intended goal.

I guess that means they’ll zot uploads of videos of Trump too.
I will say as one who views a lot of those Hitler videos on YT is that the comment section is full of comments like, “Hitler was a Great Man”, or “The Holocaust didn’t happen”, etc. If you have a comment section on a Hitler video, you’re just asking for it.
10 years from now the only videos available on YouTube will be demoncrap campaign videos and gay porn.
10 years from now, children will be taught that Hillary was elected POTUS in 2016.
YouTube is dominated by gamers, memers, and satirists. There is no longer much of a place for seriousness on that platform. We need a really good equivalent for information of all types.
One cannot disprove the arguments of the opposition when the arguments of the opposition are censored, solely because of who the opposition is. This is part of the problem in Germany, where Nazism is making somewhat of a comeback in areas not densely populated. When one cannot argue against an ideology, people fail to see the negatives.
An educated populace will make educated decisions.
For now, thank God, at least the Hilter video is still up.
And, after all these years of banning and un-banning Downfall parodies, could this be the final nail in that meme's coffin (German Note: sarg)?
YouTube and Facebook and any website that wants to edit private content should not be protected from lawsuits that a normal publisher would be subject to. As far as I can tell, this would stop all this censorship.
First they came for the Hitler videos.....
Here's another one for ya!
The first thing I did when I saw this was locate “Triumph of the Will”, full and uncut. How telling is that?
Remove the negative history of Hitler and the nazis but allow the positive image created by propaganda to stay? Of course! And I’m not even surprised a little bit.
I agree there are obnoxious very miss informed people in the comment section. Isn't that the reason for the comment section to help one another learn?
For example. I have looked into the Neo-Nazi movement and why they think Fascism early on had some type of anarcho-capitalism mixed into it.
They're correct. Mussolini was forced to accept halberto de stefani which was an anarchist-capitalist. Whom the fascist Mussolini were forced by the bankers to take in. He was removed shortly after the commitments were met by the bankers.
halberto de stefani despised the fascists he called them corrupted people.
Exactly why Google-Nazi wants oppositions voices (Like Steve Crowder) censored.
By the way, Steve Crowder is a Freeper. I've exchanged messages with him here. I forget his handle, but it is something similar to "Steve Crowder."
They removed one of my favorite YT channels that posted all kinds of WWII broadcasts, simply because they also included broadcasts of Hitler’s speeches.
It’s really fascinating to hear the translation of Hitler’s Declaration of War on the US, with all of the cockamamie conspiracy stuff in it, I suspect few have ever heard it, but it was very enlightening into getting into the Nazi mindset.
I believe you...some sick people out there. Not sure how to fight them other than keep the truth out.
But yes, Censorship is never the answer. History is ugly, and it serves no good purpose to try to cover up that fact.
Ping.
Thanks. Now I feel foolish. :)
Every Democrat is a totalitarian thug.
“10 years from now, children will be taught that Hillary was elected POTUS in 2016.”
Is it strange that I find your comment both hilarious and terrifying?
