Excellent. Trump knows what he is doing.

Excellent. Trump knows what he is doing.Hmmmm.
It was not clear why Trump was suddenly tying the tariffs to trade issues rather than to Mexicos ability to halt illegal immigration
I am also confused by the linkage. I trust Trump. I don't always trust those around him.

Trump is a consummate deal-maker. He knows how to be patient, stack the deck in his favor, and then make his move.
The American people did Trump's agenda and the nation a huge disservice by handing the House over to Pelosi and her gang of do-nothing socialists. They are bound and determined to deny Trump any victory at all, even if it harms our nation in the process. I know that Paul Ryan was an ass and a Deep Stater but he was on his way out as speaker anyhow. We would have had a new Speaker of the House in 2018 no matter what. But we got stuck with Pelosi.

Glad to hear that, because a lot of resistance republicans are planning to reject the president’s tariff decrees should they come out. They have already informed the white house.

I think the trade issues are the carrot for Mexico.
Carrot and stick approach.

Good. However a real end to this mess may not be possible if the cartels won’t let them.

As Senator Ted Cruz said, There are no Republican senators who stand with you on a Mexican tariff, Mr. Trump.
Then, strangely, Foam Boy Rubio spoke up and said, I am for the Mexican tariff!
Strange world.

“Excellent. Trump knows what he is doing.”
Yes, he does. He knows very well that if you grab the other guy’s nads and start squeezing, it is more effective in getting his attention and getting him to make an agreement that you’ll like, than having some milquetoast diplomat say “pretty please with sugar on top.” Trump never wanted tariffs, he doesn’t want to hurt the Mexican economy because it’ll speed up the flow of refugees. But this is a TACTIC to grab their attention, and it worked perfectly.
And speaking of milquetoasts...Here’s looking at you, Senators Cruz and Cornholio of Texas. I voted for you guys, and at the first sign of any difficulties you two chickenshits turned tail and ran away. To Hell with both of you government toadies who have never held a real job, never had to negotiate when YOUR assets and livelihood were on the line. You guys had BETTER shape up and start backing Trump 100%, or we’ll replace you.
ALL of this business with Mexico would have been unnecessary if the Republican Congress in Trump’s first 2 years had actually backed him on immigration, had actually given him a bill revoking birthright citizenship and had given him a bill withdrawing all federal benefits for any immigrant (legal or not) within 5 years of entry to the US. But those NWO RINOs couldn’t do that, could they? F’ing scumbags!

The tweet:
If we are able to make the deal with Mexico, & there is a good chance that we will, they will begin purchasing Farm & Agricultural products at very high levels, starting immediately. If we are unable to make the deal, Mexico will begin paying Tariffs at the 5% level on Monday! That itching sensation in your back is the precursor to the knife sliding in.
You should be getting used to it. Remember "Close the border yada yada yada ad nauseum".

We could get rid of most of their leadership within a couple of weeks, tops, if we used the appropriate special forces. We can find these guys in a short time, and target them and their goons, labs and money in not much more time than that. Take them all down within 2 weeks, and you have a new Mexico (or at least one that will behave for a while).

And that, ladies and gentlemen is why the Irish Transvestite from San Antonio produced as many votes as he did in Texas.
Just like Perry after his pro-sharia and globalised turnpikes meltdown, Ted Cruz is no longer sustainable in Texas.

Yeah I have wondered about that as well. There is precedent, e.g. Poncho Villa.

I wrote Cornholio and Cruz about their backstabbing.

Unfortunately there are quite a few drunken bar flies which refuse to see that.
