Lt. Gen. David Berger has been confirmed by the Senate as the new commandant of the Marine Corps, replacing Gen. Robert Neller this summer, according to a service statement Thursday.
Gen. Berger will receive his fourth star before taking his post as the 38th Marine Corps Commandant during a change of command ceremony in July. The full Senate confirmation vote came hours after Sen. Dan Sullivan dropped his block on Gen. Bergers nomination on Wednesday.

Glad to hear it. Thanks for weighing in. As former Navy, and seeing what is happening to the Army, Navy, and Air Force, the USMC is my check for sanity.
If they go wobbly with all this crap, all is lost.
Why? Mattis was a great Marine. Anyone who says otherwise is a damn moron. Thos of us who served under Mattis will crawl through Hell in a gun powder suit for him. You’re just butthurt that Mattis did the honorable thing and resigned from his post as SecDef because he and the President didn’t agree on policy. Staying in office was the worst thing he could have done.
What was the vote count?
