Destroyer my arse...she has displaces more than the Ticonderoga class cruiser. I am not sure in today’s naval environment whether there is a real distinction between a cruiser and destroyer.
Yes, but it’s still tiny. Look at it. Easily see the crew perched all along and can count them.
I could’ve sworn our destroyer or cruiser class was being permanently retired/phased out. I think cruiser, but not sure.
She is cruiser weight. She is good for “gunboat diplomacy”. And necessary in that context. I don’t see big Fleet conflict as viable any longer.
Our DDGs have a much lower RCS and acoustic signature than any CG.
Truth be told, the Burke’s are actually cruisers.
