True.
But it’s not cynicism.
It’s reality. In 2.5 years not one member of the coup has been charged, including three referred by Congress.
In addition, the Awans walked.
“In addition, the Awans walked...”
I thought we were discussing the DOJ with Barr as AG. I won’t make any defense of it with Sessions in charge.
Youre right, as best I can tell, in all this time not one person involved in the coup has been charged. And some of the most basic laws of the universe tell us that objects at rest tend to stay at rest, so Im not expecting anything immediately, either.
The closest we have that I know of any success in charging anyone with crimes are the following two instances. First, the Senate Intelligence Committee security chief leaking to the NY Times:
And the second is someone being charged with possible kickbacks related to Uranium One:

Pretty much a press blackout on where these cases stand now, but if you or anyone has any more information, please feel free to share. Thanks.
Yes. We have three leakers charged, I think two involved in U1 from MD charged. But the “unindicted co-conspirator” of the Manafort case, Pedo Podesta has not been charged.
In 2.5 years not one member of the coup has been charged,...
That long period of inaction is tragic, but not necessarily indicative of things to come.
I believe the official end of the Mueller witch hunt is an important benchmark:
As long as there was a possibility of it dragging on indefinitely, team Trump was in a bind - even the slightest push-back would be viewed as obstruction, and likely add months to the witch hunt.
I think this dynamic was the most significant reason for DOJ inaction over the last 2.5 years - both lack of action against Spygate, and lack of action in Trumps defense - far more significant than who was AG.
Muellers formal resignation will at least put the theory to the test.
That’s all I have ever asked for is a test, but one with some kind of fixed dates, i.e., if by x we haven’t seen y, then there is no “secret sting.”
Assuming Obama and his corrupt coconspirators avoid prison time, I hope at least that Barr will have them on the ropes long enough for the public to see them sweat.
I just need what these scumbags did, and how serious it was, to be part of history - along with the fact that President Trump was the victim, not the perpetrator - thats more important to me than jail time.
Although jail time would be ideal.
