Pride Month kicks off in Boston on Tuesday with a lights event, a paint night — and preparations for a possible “Straight Pride Parade” this summer.
The event to celebrate heterosexuality in one of the nation’s most gay-friendly cities is meant to poke fun at the “identity politics” of the political left, organizer Mark Sahady wrote in a Facebook comment.
The parade organizers have designed a flag and designated actor Brad Pitt as their “mascot.”
“For them everything is based upon identity and whether or not one is categorized as a victim or an oppressor,” Sahady wrote on Facebook. “If you get victim status then you are entitled to celebrate yourself and expect those with oppressor status to defer to your feelings.”
Organizers of the Straight Pride Parade tentatively plan to host the event Aug. 31, Sahady wrote, and have filed a discrimination complaint against Boston for permission to fly their straight pride flag.
The parade will include floats and vehicles, Sahady wrote, and will run from Copley Square to City Hall — the same route as the official Pride parade will take Saturday.

Reminds me of a time when I was a contractor working at a federal agency. One of the folks who I worked with there headed up their “Hispanic Affairs Advisory Council” which apparently promoted and advocated for Hispanic employees. I jokingly asked the person if they had a “Germanic Affairs Advisory Council” (my “ethnicity”). They didn’t think it was funny.
Fascist nitwits never think questioning them or ridiculing them is funny. However, these lunatics deserve both 24/7.

Actually, the only thing that would make these angry arrogant lettered ones more upset than having a Straight Pride parade would be NOT having one.
I’m still in favor of having it. Just pointing out that their source of imagined virtue and diabolical pride is the fact that they are irreverently different - making each new manufactured minority better in their misguided minds than the not-yet-evolved majority.
With that in mind, I think it would both increase the intensity of the Left’s pride-gasm and be more accurate in general to call it a Normal Pride parade.
The city gave them a permit for move In day. For the college kids. A total disaster! No body with a brain gets near town!, twenty five idiots will try and get Uhauls Ryders and all kinds of trucks under the ‘Storrow bridge because they are too dumb to read the zillions of No Trucks signs. Most of us will be on the Cape or up in the Lakes.
