You missed what I was saying. Think about the 19th amendment. Then think of why that was the end of logical voting.

Hint: Who started voting then and is famous for emotion rather than logic?

Oh, I got it all right. You and I, nevertheless, vote logically. Others do as well. If we represented the large majority of voters, campaigns would be directed to our logical approach to voting. As you note, 19Am introduced large numbers of emotional voters, and campaigns became even more emotionally oriented. So I can’t agree that logical voting ended (some people still do it) … but I can agree that emotional voting and emotional campaigning have become predominant. Campaigning, IMO, has become almost exclusively emotionally oriented.
