Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam announced on Tuesday that he’ll recall lawmakers to the state Capitol in the coming weeks to take up a package of gun-control legislation, which he said is urgently needed to prevent killings like Friday’s mass shooting in Virginia Beach.
Northam said he plans to convene a special legislative session this summer.
The Democrat said in an Associated Press interview ahead of his announcement that he wants the Republican-controlled General Assembly to hear from the public about the need for “common-sense” law related to guns and accessories.
Republicans have previously rejected Northam’s gun control bills out of hand, but a top GOP lawmaker signaled Monday that he’s open to a legislative debate. […]
Northam’s package of bills includes legislation that directly relates to Friday’s shooting — including a ban on silencers and high capacity ammunition magazines as well as broadening the ability of local governments to limit guns in city buildings. First off, you filthy, grace-dancing, baby-killing, blackfaced POS... that entire VA Beach Municipal Center complex is ALREADY a “gun-free zone!” Second, when in the HELL does a “silencer” prohibit a mass shooting? Third, the shooter had multiple weapons, very likely a second one on hand, so a limit on magazine capacity is irrelevant. Go piss on yourself, Northam.
Northam is compromised so he will take it on, virtue signal, the right.
Instead, restrict the rights of honest citizens and make sure you are seen doing "something" that the Progressives will love.

While Northam is a fool, and the Lt. Gov. a possible rapist, the most dangerous Democrat in Virginia is State’s AG Mark Herring, reportedly a receiver of Soro’s AG election funding organization.
Herring is as close to an official Virginia state Marxist dictator as we have got, so far. I’m hoping that someone starts a real serious investigation into his political funders, contacts with Soros and other Marxist groups such as the Va. branch of the Marxist Working Families Party and others that have infiltrated the state.
This “Herring” stinks like a dead “Red Grouper” in the hot summer sun. Time for the disinfectant of good investigative journalist and citizens input into what he is up to do, who he’s funded by, and what he has planned for a Democrat state of “Marxists Uber Alles”.
The Virginia GOP should get out in front of this and submit bills that will beter enable Virginians to defend themselves; such as the elimination of gun free zones, open carry without harassment by local police, no more concealed carry permit restrictions, etc.
