Roy Moore is a man who has held high office with an impeccable record of personal character. He married once and is still married to his one an only wife. He has many children and grandchildren.

They shunned him while President Trump gave him the endorsement over the phone and from Pensacola, Florida but not inside Alabama or in person with Roy Moore.
Contrast this with how Brett Kavanaugh was given the full court defense when the sex allegations dropped on him.

Roy had the gall to put a 5000+ pound monument into a state building. He did this on his own without even asking. It’s not his building. It’s the taxpayer’s building.
Instead of doing the job he was elected to do, he went to more grandstanding. People financially supported and voted for this man. He was then removed from office.

I recently read where rev. Kenneth Copeland was pleading for donations so that he can buy another multi-million plane. The man has a net worth of $760 million. During biblical times punishment such as drawn and quartered was also a “humane” form of punishment. Torture was also seen as a means of extracting information. Moore isn’t one of God’s disciples and that was the late 20th century when dating children was seen as perverse and sickening. We don’t live in Biblical times and to keep pointing to them as some defense of Moore and his actions speaks highly of his defenders continuing the “biblical times” lines. An adult “Getting to know a child” (I can’t believe I’m actually having to say this) is disgusting.

A simple Internet search can pull up thousands of cases of Pedophiles with families. In fact I once managed an individual who was retired, came to a second job for a number of years, retired again. Two years later sentenced to 24 years in prison at age 72. What was his crime? Raped and molested his grand daughter from age 7-16. He was also found with hundreds of child prom pictures. He was a husband, father and grandfather. Those that worked with him including me saw him as the guy everyone made happy with get togethers, cook outs, etc. he has a deep sexual perversion. He was normal. He did these things.

Falsely? He admitted to dating teenagers. What is false about a self confession. Then when confronted, “well it was legal”. He drug himself through the mud. I also don’t place myself in situations (such as frequenting High School football games talking to underage girls) that would have me defend against allegations. It it walks and quacks like a duck.

Moore has been his own worst enemy. He gets a pass from some, because of “religion!” It is simply not enough to be a Christian. You need to also be a rational human being.
Moore has repeatedly shown they he is unwilling to play by the rules. His “battle for the Ten Commandments,” is really no different fundamentally, that the Leftists choosing to ignore our laws when it comes to things that they “believe in.” And it has nothing to do with the “righteousness” of what Moore has done.

Wrong. Today the left openly advocates that it is “humane” to rip a baby limb from limb. Our nation prohibited “cruel and unusual punishments” but it still practices them and has just labeled them as something else.
The barbaric practices of “biblical times” were not biblical practices. It was the influence of the Bible that led to more humane behavior in the first place.

This is an example of God prescribing corporal punishment for criminal activity. Notice that there is a limit set and specific reason given which involves compassion even for the criminal. The New Testament contains similar teaching:

I don’t know whether to think you really believe your own words and are intentionally lying or you are just ignorant. Moore said he dated several teenage girls. You keep treating this as pedophilia and statutory rape. First of all, most people start dating when they are teenagers. A lot of preteens have boyfriends and girlfriends. So, I assume when you keep repeating the line about “dating teenagers” you are only referring to adults. Adulthood is primarily a legal and social construction.
A person would have to be totally blind to not be aware that teenagers are having sex today. In actuality, for many decades this has been the case. Probably ever since the “consenting adults” standard came to replace Christian morality in the late 1800s. Today, even preteens are engaging in sexual activity, which is not normal and is the result of society being force-fed lust and perversion. What is harmful and morally wrong is premarital sex, not teenage romance. The right purpose of dating is not to have sex; it is to find a marriage partner where both the man and woman are suitable for each other.
The ones attacking people like Roy Moore are abortion and homosexuality promoters. It’s the Katy Perry crowd. I assume you have saved some of your vindictive, judgmental attitude for her with music targeted at promoting teen sex such as “Teenage Dream.” Hopefully you feel the same about pornography and prostitution in general. Otherwise it’s total hypocrisy.
Most people become hateful, judgmental, and condescending toward people who commit sins that they themselves find easy to avoid. A person who has not ever done illegal drugs, such as myself, might be inclined to look down on someone who I consider a “junkie”. But the truth is that it is easy for me to not do drugs because I’ve never tried them. I have an addictive personality and have other major character flaws that are difficult for me to overcome, such as anger. I know from years of experience that those who protest loudly about some particular issue are deceiving themselves about their own morality.
So, I deal with people who want to nitpick over whether someone was married in a church (but is legally married), or whether they married too young (in their opinion which no one asked for), but the same people can show endless compassion to homosexual couples with custody of children.
So, I would be very surprised if some of the ones attacking Moore are convinced of their own moral superiority because they comply with the very easy to follow sexual morality guideline of “consenting adults.” That allows for almost anything. Plus, it includes “teenage” girls who are the focus of 90% of legal pornography. By that I mean girls / women who are 18-19. So it is supposedly morally fine that girls these ages are sexually exploited and dirty old men are perfectly normal for enriching the pornographers by buying their merchandise. But Roy Moore is pervert because he apparently was interested in younger girls, quite possibly because he wanted to marry a virgin (which used to be a thing). He didn’t though. He married a divorced woman who happened to have been a teenage beauty queen.

Further, I am quite confident from years of experience that anyone making such wild accusations has some serious sexual deviancy of their own going on. It’s called projection.

I suppose this is a reasonable argument, but there is one big difference. We do not try and convict people in the court of public opinion. We only convict of crimes when the evidence is beyond a reasonable doubt.

He did not admit to any sexual relations with underage girls, even girls who were legally over the age of consent, which I believe was 16 at the time and jurisdiction in question.
If what he did bothers you, fine. If you find it creepy, fine. That is not the same as it being ok to label Moore as a serial killer or pedophile. The left is coming out with the most salacious accusations and unfounded slander on any conservative, especially those who oppose the homosexual agenda. That’s what happened to Moore. And a lot of folks around here bought it hook, line, and sinker.
And some have even joined in with these salacious attacks, just as you have. So, as I said before, when someone decides to attack you with similar accusations and you find that your reputation is ruined by the mere allegation of impropriety, then just remember why this proves God is completely just in allowing it. Don’t complain about it. Just thank Him and tell Him you’ve learned your lesson.
Would have the seat now if Moore had stepped aside when he realized that, in today’s society, people just don’t like the idea of 30-year-olds asking 16-year-olds out on dates, even if it was legal.
