Excellent. There is hope for some agreement good for both sides, once they are back at the table.

It’s an attempt to bog us down in an endless, media-saturated, process-oriented bureacratic ceremony.
It will accomplish NOTHING.
It’s a Chinese version of a North Korean dance.

Cant friendlier countries like S Korea, The Philippines, India, et al manufacture cheap goods as well if not better than the ChiComs?
I’d rather lift up the poor and lower middle classes in friendly countries than the Reds.

Well if it’s true and they really are willing to deal it means they have decided Trump is going to win in 20..if it’s true.

Yeah, great. Tariffs are still going up until there is verifiable, enforceable free trade.

Can't friendlier countries like S Korea, The Philippines, India, et al manufacture cheap goods as well if not better than the ChiComs? Vietnam is open for business.
They have no love of the Chinese and every reason to get glee out of eating their lunch!
Come to think of it, most all of China's neighbors have every reason to experience the same glee...

slow walk China. Let them bleed. After all they have done to us, all they are planning to do to us, let them bleed.
Over time, the terms and conditions will only improve for the United States of America.

China knows that Trump means business and an agreement is best for both. Otherwise they will lose too much.

Add Viet Nam to your list.
There are more countries, who would love to take the ChiCom’s place in today’s business world.

I think it is essential that Trump have Pence play a role in the negotiations and his mission is to be the staunch pro-USA leader. The Chinese will have to then deal with the prospect of having Trump win in 2020 and Pence winning in 2024. That will make the Chinese come to the table with hat in hand now, and not wait for the possibility of having a Rat in office to cave on the deal.
