There are many unusual things associated with this entire hoax. I watched the event honoring the retirement of Rosenstein attended by Sessions and Barr. Rosenstein was lauded by both and Sessions went out of his way to glad hand Rosenstein laughing and pounding him on the chest. Barr thanked him for his outstanding service. How does this square with the McCabe (and Baker) allegations about Rosenstein's statements about wearing a wire and using tghe 25th Amendment to get rid of Trump?
Rosenstein accompanied Mueller to the Oval Office for his interview with Trump about getting the FBI job. Why would Mueller who served in that capacity for 12 years want that job again at the age of 74 for another 10 years? The next day Mueller was appointed as the Special Counsel by Rosenstein. It appears to me that Mueller was part of the cover-up and had to get inside the Trump Administration to achieve the desired outcome. He has been wildly successful.
Finally, I was somewhat disturbed by Barr's comments in his CBS interview when he said the following:
I’d rather, in many ways, I’d rather be back to my old life but I think that I love the Department of Justice, I love the FBI, I think it’s important that we not, in this period of intense partisan feeling, destroy our institutions.
How far will Barr really go in holding people accountable? Will he limit what he does using the rationale that the institutions must be defended at all costs? I also disagree with Barr's characterization that this was all done by a handful of people at the very top. The DOJ and FBI have been abusing their authority since the authorization of the Patriot Act. The entire FISA system should be dismantled and other reforms made to protect our civil liberties.
How can this be and then she's married to Rod Rosenstein!!The tow do not mix at all unless Rosenstein is dirty then it all makes sense.

Anyway, I’m sort of with you about Barr.
He did say this was being done by a few at the top.
I think he’s very wrong. I think this hoax was carried out mostly by the CIA and all the spies amongst us. I think there are people in our government who allow the spies to go on because, well they pay them money.
The FBI has been dishonest and untrustworthy except by the elected since Herbert Hoover. The spies amongst us are now about ten agencies and they are all over the world.
Welcomed in with a smile by the Obama administration, the spies are like flies....they’re everywhere, controlling the world.
And here’s another worry that I have....after all the players in this scandal are identified and jailed or nailed, what lazy legislator is going to introduce stricter laws and/or rules to make it right?
Once upon a time you’d get a courageous group who would put up proposals to rein this kind of abuse in but who would be that courageous group now? Romney? Heh.
I recall McCain and his campaign finance reform and how I sleep better at night knowing he did this.
Or is fixing things just a way to gain importance and fame?
I think, like you, that Barr is kind of weasly but give him credit, he likes the word SPY and he is going to continue to use it.
