Exclusive–Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan Hosts CNN’s Jake Tapper for Off-the-Record Meeting

The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Acting Secretary, Kevin McAleenan, hosted CNN’s Chief Washington Correspondent Jake Tapper for a private, off-the-record meeting last month.

“What was discussed behind closed doors, we’ll likely never know, but if I’m a member of the administration battling each day to counter the wall-to-wall disinformation campaign of Tapper and the opposition party, this meeting is sacrilege,” the source told Breitbart News.

Obviously someone other that McAllenan leaked this to Breitbart. What's going on here? Didn't Trump recently say he would be removing "Acting" from McAleenan's title?

In early April Dr. Sebastian Gorka was saying McAleenan was a good choice for head of DSHS. The sources for this story and the claims he's for open borders are anonymous. I've learned not to trust any anonymous insider speaking badly of another person in this administration. If Trump knew and approved of this meeting in advance or soon after, then this is not a problem. If not, Trump can and will deal with him in due time.

I’m inclined to agree. If that’s not the case, McAllenan will likely not be around much longer. We’ll see.
