Good thing he doesn't work for North Korea. That Lil Kim guy would stand him up in front of an Anti-Aircraft battery and vaporize him

Not a smart thing to do when beginning negotiations!

Killed, eulogized, vaporized, cremated, recycled and scattered to the four winds...

In one flashing nanosecond.

When is it time to invade Mexico and establish a 20 mile wide no man’s land on the other side of the border?

Well now Trump just automatically wins the argument.

He played the Hitler card waaaaay too soon. Shows he had zip of anything of substance to refute what Trump did.

You know that tariff percentage can go up.

No need to be greedy: 200 yards will work just fine.

We can erect the WALL (the Big Beautiful One) ENTIRELY on Mexico’s soil and tell the 9th Circus to go suck eggs

100 miles. Military needs a big practice area.

What we do is go in 200 miles and wipe out all forms of corruption, military, govt, criminals. then drag all the mexicans back and say you have the lower 100 mile zone to love in, its cleaned up, don’t let it get screwed up again. Anyone wandering into the 100 mile dmz area will be target practice.

He still has the race card, I suppose.

But God’s sense of humor is ever evident. He gave our negotiating President the name of the cards in the deck that can’t be beat

It is almost BIBLICAL

I heard somewhere, they are actually scheduled to increase over time.

Maybe each month. Can’t swear to that, but saw something to that effect, maybe.

Actually, that was part of Trump’s Executive Order.

5% each month if problem is not resolved until it reaches a max of 25%.

Pretty sure that even 5% is devastating to Mexico. I’d image that 25% would utterly destroy their economy and bring them to their knees.

All they have right now is the normal Marxist blustering.

They have nothing else.

It was in the release. Another 5% tacked on roughly every month until they get their act together.

I’m pretty sure that you heard correctly. The schedule of increases might be a bit more compressed than monthly though.

I realize he had to give them time to ‘consider’ BUT that tariff should have been imposed when he opened his mouth.
He had a couple of false starts and threats already. Sorry, hate to say it but this crap (stalling) is beginning to sound like Rivera’s Capone Vault AND BOs ‘line in the sand’.

I get a kick out of when they say you have to stop selling ‘cigarettes’ 6 months from today for health purposes.
When ‘inquiring minds’ say ‘Well, if it is all that bad, why are we waiting 6 months’? and the stock answer is..
Got to give the manufactures time to adjust and give the merchants a chance to sell the product.

My question is ‘Why will it be more dangerous in 6 months than it is today’....

ETC....

What was it? a couple of days ago...Trump walked out on Nancy and chucki prior to the infrastructure meeting

Anyway he gets to see Pompeo on Wednesday June 5th..tariffs kick in on Monday 10th June.

My guess is that President Donald J. Trump will issue an appropriate Tweet.

Maybe schedule a meeting on the 12th of June.

Statement from the President Regarding Emergency Measures to Address the Border Crisis - May 30, 2019

“Accordingly, starting on June 10, 2019, the United States will impose a 5 percent Tariff on all goods imported from Mexico. If the illegal migration crisis is alleviated through effective actions taken by Mexico, to be determined in our sole discretion and judgment, the Tariffs will be removed.

If the crisis persists, however, the Tariffs will be raised to 10 percent on July 1, 2019. Similarly, if Mexico still has not taken action to dramatically reduce or eliminate the number of illegal aliens crossing its territory into the United States, Tariffs will be increased to 15 percent on August 1, 2019, to 20 percent on September 1, 2019, and to 25 percent on October 1, 2019.

Tariffs will permanently remain at the 25 percent level unless and until Mexico substantially stops the illegal inflow of aliens coming through its territory. Workers who come to our country through the legal admissions process, including those working on farms, ranches, and in other businesses, will be allowed easy passage.”

A 5% hit to Americas’ import
from mexico goods can be felt
but absorbed. A 25% hit would
be painful, even for us, but
would be devastating for Mexico.
The gradual increase is for our
benifit. It gives us time to react
to market conditions, and will put
increasing pressure on Mexico. Our
president understands the art of
doing business.
