The revelation about this digital plot for male dominance comes in a 146-page report from the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in cooperation with the German government and the EQUALS Skills Coalition, a partnership of governments, businesses and nonprofits."
The authors note with alarm that “most leading voice assistants are exclusively female or female by default, both in name and in sound of voice.” This includes Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, and Microsoft ’s Cortana. The report says that these voices send “a signal that women are obliging, docile, eager-to-please helpers, available at the touch of a button or with a blunt voice command like ‘hey’ or ‘OK.’” Read on, they’re rolling."

Women - and im including the manginas here - complain siri and alexa are female. Be ause they are in helper roles.
If they used male voies these same people would complain abut sexism, women aren’t smart enough to be helpers?
You godam know its true. You just have to start telling these people to fuch off. And then laughing at everything they say.
I remember hearing somewhere that while female voices are good at delaying requested information, deeper, more robotic voices are used for warnings and commands.
They would prefer HAL 9000.

Of course, without a doubt.
I'm a little surprised they didn't make the voice an exact average of male and female, which would probably have sounded something like Michael Jackson's speaking voice.
I think there should be an option for different voices. Two options I would like to see are “Rochester”, modeled after Jack Benny’s negro servant, “Kato” modeled after the 60’s Green Hornet Asian servant played by Bruce Lee, and “99” Maxwell Smart’s comparatively sensible but generally deferential assistant.
Folks who allow these in their home will regret it in the long term. But by then the damage will have been done. Better to never start.
