It sure looked like someone had purchased a hundred matching white Toyota Tacomas for ISIS. It should have been pretty easy for the US Intelligence agencies to find out who paid for them, particularly after they captured or destroyed one and got the VIN.

Good question! In 1986 a friend of mine bought a nice brand new 2 door black Buick Century. Two weeks later it was stolen. The detective told him it most likely went to a chop shop that put a turbo on it and made it into a Grand Sport clone to be shipped to S. America or the Mid East. At that time those Buicks were more likely to be stolen than Corvettes.
