People don’t like to give their countries away to foreigners. The Pope doens’t seem anxious to give the Vatican away to refuges. How many refugees does he house at the Vatican? My guess is zero. He doesn’t want that riff raff around him.

Awhile back I did a little calculation. Based on population density (population divided by area), Vatican City can take in at least 3000 refugees.
And if you take a look at a map of Vatican City, you’ll see there is plenty of space in the Vatican gardens for some apartment buildings.
But I think you’re right. I couldn’t find anywhere any report of refugees living in Vatican City. (Francis has brought in refugees. But he always places them in the city of Rome. Never in the Vatican.)
