It concerns me that Barr keeps using the phrase “hyper-partisan period”. As if he expects this too shall pass.
Short of the destruction of the Democrat Party I don’t foresee any scenario where it ever comes to an end.
Here’s an interesting tidbit from Barr:
“The other issues he’s been working on relate to Hillary Clinton. Those are winding down and hopefully we’ll be in a position to bring those to fruition.”
The AG is not the person to make that kind of statement. Destroy is a war word. If he used words like that it would cause a premature explosion. I believe things are going to get violent no matter what. However we at this point need to get as many as possible on our side before we go full bore. Having conversations with Dems now who think their party is out of control and who would support action against them should things be proven. I find this a pleasant surprise.
Just think what would have happened if Sessions were still AG.

You misunderstand. I do not expect him to destroy the Democrat Party. Indeed that is not his job (or never would have been in the days before DOJ became weaponized).
It’s the fact that he seems to expect that one day we’ll go back to business as usual which strikes me as incredibly naïve.

I have to say that Barr is the MVP of the Trump administration. He is a no nonsense guy who just plows ahead. He won’t be bullied, he won’t be tricked into betraying emotions, he is professional. Most importantly, he is serious about draining the swamp.
Trump has found his Grant.
He does not need to inflame things at this point. I don’t think he really believes it either. If he did the media would be causing all kinds of nausea getting the lowlifes fired up. He is trying to avoid that because of his high position of authority from where I’m at I understand.

He understands the danger of this beyond the personalities.
The real question now is what will be done about it? Barr is a sober and judicious adult on a stage surrounded by toddlers. The toddlers are so devoted to their tantrum they are incapable of self-reflection. We are numb to this whole story, but it is truly shocking what took place in Spygate. These abuses of civil liberties by the upper echelon of our government cannot stand.
I’m sorry I read that whole thing. I’m a bit edgy over Barr’s seeming bending over backwards to let “Bob” slide and give him the benefit of the doubt. Barr is NOT a disinterested umpire. He’s been buds with “Bob” for 30 years, and ditto lots of others. So my apprehension is; Will Barr, et al, finnesse this thing so that “Nobody had evil intentions. Everybody meant well.” And so every one those bahstids gets a pass.
Wow. Mueller is an even bigger scumbag than I thought he was. I didn’t believe that was possible.
" ...but only some men really live". Cleaning up the Department of JustUs may not be Homeric but it is a project which will ensure he is remembered through the lens of history.
