Thing was, this is exactly the effect that putrid, coward Mueller had in mind with his statement.

I still hear people say "Oh, he served in the military so he deserves our respect" but a stinking scumbag coward like him should be shunned by all Marines.

What he did today was a travesty. Either Barr or Mueller was lying. There is no way around that, zero. One of the two is LYING.

Barr says that he specifically asked Mueller if the fact that a sitting president cannot be indicted impacted his decision not to indicate charges should be levied against Trump, and Mueller said no, it did not. When asked about his disagreements with Mueller, Barr has made a point of emphasizing that when the two men met privately on March 5 to discuss the findings, Mueller said he would not claim the president would have been charged with a crime if he weren’t the president.

BARR: “We specifically asked him about the OLC opinion and whether or not he was taking a position that he would have found a crime but for the existence of the OLC opinion. And he made very clear several times that that was not his position...”

Today, Mueller said:

MUELLER: "..And as set forth in the report, after that investigation, if we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so. We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the president did commit a crime.

The introduction to the Volume 2 of our report explains that decision. It explains that under long-standing department policy, a president cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. That is unconstitutional. Even if the charge is kept under seal and hidden from public view, that, too, is prohibited.

A special counsel's office is part of the Department of Justice, and by regulation, it was bound by that department policy. Charging the president with a crime was therefore not an option we could consider. The department's written opinion explaining the policy makes several important points that further informed our handling of the obstruction investigation. Those points are summarized in our report and I will describe two of them for you..."

And there you have it. It is clear that ONE of the two men is LYING about their March 5th discussion about the report.

Mueller is lying. He is lying to throw this into the hands of the the Leftists in government who are howling for impeachment. His cowardly, weaselly, underhanded, scurrilous parsing of these words to create this dynamic says volumes about him.

He has known from the day he accepted the role of Special Prosecutor that the entire thing was a sham, because his number one man, his right hand man, Andrew Weissman, was told in August 2016 in a briefing by Bruce Our (in his statement under oath in front of a committee) that the Steele Dossier was a suspect politically motivated document.

If people were to hang for this, that scumbag Mueller would hang with the rest of the treasonous cabal if things were just.

“Hillary Clinton would be in handcuffs, criminally charged, but for the fact she is a Democrat.” says a very large part of America.

"The Democrats don’t understand that you can’t put people in jail just because you don’t like them."

Correction: The DemoKKKrats still don't understand that you can't put people in jail just because you don't like them.

The reason: The DemoKKKrats lynched in the South, joined the KKK and enacted Jim Crow. Their culture of guilt before proving innocence is in their blood. Just as the Blacks were guilty because they were black, Trump is guilty because he is the Bad Orange Man. They are itching for a lynching.

Those two statements can both be true. Mueller obviously did not find a crime regardless of the OLC opinion. He looked at potential obstruction and found no crime. It was not his job to not find a crime.

"Sens. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) were not happy with Facebook's answers about children's in-app purchases and urged the FTC to review a complaint filed Friday about the issue.": Sens. Markey, Blumenthal Hammer Facebook, Zuckerberg

"Blumenthal, Richard (D-CT) D Commerce, Judiciary $6,000 $7,200 $0 $13,200": Here’s how much Facebook donated to every lawmaker questioning Mark Zuckerberg this week

I'm seeing a pattern here: 1) Blumenthal threatens FTC action against company X; 2) company X donates money to Blumenthal.

"The state’s Congressional delegation has received more than $641,000 in campaign contributions from drugmakers and their allies — the same group many blame for the addiction epidemic that’s sweeping Connecticut and the nation. U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal received $71,500 in contributions from drugmakers and medical associations since 2010, and U.S. Sen. I disagree.

Look at the text in my post highlighted in blue by Barr, and the text highlighted in red by Mueller.

Those cannot both be true. He cannot say to Barr it did not factor in, then in his statement today say he was bound by it.

"Until today, I have defended Mueller against the accusations that he is a partisan. I did not believe that he personally favored either the Democrats or the Republicans, or had a point of view on whether President Trump should be impeached. But I have now changed my mind. By putting his thumb, indeed his elbow, on the scale of justice in favor of impeachment based on obstruction of justice, Mueller has revealed his partisan bias. He also has distorted the critical role of a prosecutor in our justice system."
