All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state.
Right?
The law is the law. If you’re going to have laws, then they should apply to anyone and everyone in all circumstances with the same punishments. The fact that someone is wearing a particular garb, has a particular title or job function or professes some particular belief should mean nothing whatsoever.
If it’s wrong to molest kids, and you know someone has molested kids, you either go to the authorities immediately, or you are an accessory; why the hell should it matter if you’re an imam, a priest, a social worker, a cop, a soldier, a judge or just a person off the street.
The state has no business in the relationship between a person and God, but no matter what God someone believes in they should have to adhere to the same laws as anyone else.
