Why have Democrats lost their curiosity over the Trump-Russia story?
Chicago Tribune ^ | 5/29/19 | John Kass

Just a short while ago, as CNN insisted that an apple was an apple and not a banana no matter who screamed that it was a banana, and the Jeff Bezos Post began warning America that “democracy dies in darkness,” Democrats and their media allies were all about sunshine in matters involving President Donald Trump.

But now, not so much.

What happened to curiosity, anyway?

Curiosity and the pursuit of sunlight were once virtues, whether over presidents waging war by using misleading intelligence estimates of weapons of mass destruction or spymasters engaged in surveillance of the cellphones of Americans in violation of the Fourth Amendment.

It’s actually pretty damn scary when the ‘mainstream media’, ALL OF IT, no exceptions has zero interest in covering the roots of a story that captivated the country for almost 3 years. So why?

Sundance put it best - the media was part of it, they were all-in on the coup.

As much as I love the First Amendment, there’s still an implied contract - you media people be relatively fair and honest, and you can have protections against being shutdown by lawsuits, or criminal prosecution.

The media has now breached that contract, they need to be PUNISHED, and big-time.

LOL - Further down in the article:

“Already there is indication that some players have begun pointing fingers at each other in panic, just like a few sweaty Chicago aldermen I know.”

Why have Democrats lost their curiosity over the Trump-Russia story?

At some point, your chances of stealing the last election, fall far below your chances of stealing the next election.

The shift has been from collusion to obstruction, and more recently, to violations of the emoluments clause, to be fueled by a romp through Trump’s finances... which is a bill of attainder.

because they were either complicit with the coup-plotters or they are protecting the media that were complicit.

I keep seeing tidbits like this in allegedly conservative articles:

“Yes, Russia did interfere to help Trump over Hillary Clinton and turn Americans against each other. The Russian hacking of Democratic email and the release to Wikileaks was profoundly embarrassing to the Democratic Party, and to members of the media who were little more than propagandists for the Democratic team.”

Both of those statements are flat-out lies.

Curiosity was never an issue.

Democrats and everyone else always knew that "Russia Collusion" was a hoax and an attempt by a cabal to nullify the 2016 Presidential Election.

The issue was whether or not Democrats' could convince enough Americans to believe the hoax to allow them to nullify the Election.

They underestimated Donald Trump, the American People, and the Power of TRUTH.

it's interesting that Kass noticed this gem:

In her strange email to herself, Rice noted that Obama said everything should be done “by the book.” By the book, really? Who talks like that? Someone covering their behinds?
