Hardly. The reality is that Biden would have beaten Trump in 2016 - you have to remember just how suppressed the Democrat base was because of the stench around Hillary.
Right now, slow Joe is appealing - at least to a block of them, for whatever reason - to the industrial midwest in a way that the other Democrat candidates aren't. We have to take the midwest again, and an unlikable, "foreign" Dem nominee helps with that task.
That's a theory. Pretty presumptuous.
