Former Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis has a book coming out this summer, but he warns that it will not be a "tell-all" about President Donald Trump.
"Call Sign Chaos: Learning to Lead" will be published on July 16, Random House announced Tuesday. Co-written with Bing West, the book will be an "expansive account" of the retired general's military career, according to the publisher. Mattis will write about conflicts from Afghanistan to Iraq and use those experiences for lessons on war and peace. The book was under contract before Mattis became defense secretary in early 2017, although it will touch upon events over the past couple of years, a Random House spokesperson told The Associated Press. But "Call Sign Chaos" should be far different in tone from such scathing best-sellers as James Comey's "A Higher Loyalty" and Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury."

ASS Press made the story because they think Mattis will say Trump was a baddie blah blah. I’m sure it will be the same ranking as another former disgruntled fired employee like Omarosa..
The fact that ex-Sec. Mattis is not diplomatically waiting till after the 2020 elections are done, makes me think he wants to have some effect on the outcome with his book.
Just another general who saluted the transgenderizing of our military.
I suspect he’s in serious need of funds, and/or putting it out new will relegate it to OLD NEWS by the time the campaign really heats up.
The real impact (if any) would be done if he put it out Aug-Sept 2020
who doesn’t?
It will be really dramatic I’m sure. Lot’s of meme worthy quotes. But he’ll prob gloss over his support of women in the USMC infantry, trannies everywhere, a board of directors seat on the Theranos scam company, the prosecution of the Haditha Marines, and his snake in the grass undermining of Trump.
