I see it 36 to 34 in favor of leave. That wins a 2nd referendum.

“It looks like a split down the middle again.”

Actually it looks like you lost.

Again.

Update, the actual vote share is

35% for LEAVE (Brexit+UKIP) and 40.2% for REMAIN (Libdems+Greens+ChangeUK+SNP+plaidCymru). This reinforces that the UK is still split in opinion.

If one considers that the Tory vote was leave and the LAbour vote was remain (both of which I doubt, but hey, let's consider it), then you have

LEAVE: 46.1%

REMAIN: 52.4%

still a split nearly down the middle. The UK hasn't made up its mind - it's still undecided

Let them have the no-deal hard Brexit and solve it. Scotland and NI will leave and england-wales will get what they want (except for the western parts of wales + London who voted remain)

either way, a win for remain of 2% more vote percentage is not a mandate. The UK is hopeless split and staying will only make things worse imho. They need to
1. Let Scotland and NI who voted REMAIN, get their independence / reunion and
2. Let England-Wales get on with their LEAVE with no-deal.

That’s the only sensible way - if one cancels out Scotland and NI then the vote for LEAVE is at 56% to 60% - not perfect but definitely a more defining vote

Let London stay in the EU. It ceased to be part of Britain a decade ago.

a more defining vote is nice, but a win is a win.

"I" didn't vote in the UK - I'm not a British citizen and haven't lived there for nearly 14 years. I "won" monetarily when the Brits voted leave and have been winning over the past 2 years as more and more companies ask my company for help in moving their businesses out of the UK.

I am economically for the UK leaving with a hard, no-deal Brexit as more businesses will move, leaving more money.

Now as to the Leave/Remain - it is still an unclear mandate - even if, as the post above shows, leave "wins" (to use your terminology) by 52% to 48% -- this is not a clear verdict either way.

The Brexit demolition of the Tories is a verdict against the Tory handling of Brexit yes, but they mauled the Tories and so did the Libdems+greens.

That’s not feasible - London is indisputably part of the “English nation” - it is not a separate nation like Scotland or Northern Ireland or Wales.

The Union of England and Wales must leave the EU with London.

In this I’m trying to be pragmatic, but also London leaving the EU is big business opportunities for not only central europe but also Dublin (banking companies), Cork (insurance), Frankfurt (retail and investment banking), Warsaw/Bucharest (back-office operations + IT) and even Paris.

No, england+wales have said before that nearly 60% (IIRc) want to leave, so they must leave and stop the poisonous circle debate. They must leave with a hard, no-deal Brexit.

True. The information from this vote was also clear: the Tories and Labour were demolished. Both of these parties neither were leave nor remain. They were destroyed by pro-leave (UKIP+Brexit) and pro-Remain parties in the EU elections.

This will be a push to the Tory party elections that the next Tory PM will have a stark, bad choice
1. No-deal Brexit: this will alienate the 48% to 52% voters who will then never vote Tory again in their lives)
2. Cancel Brexit: this will alienate the 52% to 48% voters who will never vote Tory again in their lives.

HOWEVER, of #2, most of those would not vote Tory in any case. So the least bad option is for the Tories to destroy UKIP and Brexit by taking their election planks (as they did in 2015) and delivering no-deal, HARD Brexit.

If they are smart enough (which looking at the Tory leadership I doubt), they will put the blame for Brexit problems on the Brexit party and salvage what they can. At the same time they should let the Scots gain independence (they’ll never vote Tory) and let NI reunite with the RoI. This will ensure the Tory party remains in power in England-Wales

Shirley, you are mistaken ;)

To become aware of the illusion is to be able to seek the truth. The illusion was in full display during the 2016 election, with 3 examples:

1- A senior RNC official (who was against Trump) told Becky Quick during an interview that “the people don’t pick the candidate, the Party does” Quick: “So why have a convention?” Long pause. “That’s a good question...”

2- The DNC picked and supported HRC over Sanders to the point of cheating to help her win. They bribed Sanders to keep him quiet.

3- The press, who SHOULD ‘have the backs’ of Americans and ferret out and publish the truth, have instead turned out to be a blatant propaganda machine.

That all of the above points were on full display during the 2016 election was an eye-opener that should have opened a lot of minds.

In 2015 the Brits had 8 UKIP MEPs including Farage. Now they have 28 MEPs from the Brexit party.

This is out of the 73 MEPs that the UK sends to the parliament.

Out of the 73 MEPs, 28 are from the Brexit party. Another 30 odd are from the REMAIN parties (Libdems, greens, SNP) and then you have the remaining for the Tories and Labour). So they have people who represent them - and they had some as well in 2015-2019

The Left is only as far ahead as it is by lying, cheating, stealing, etc. Whenever they get behind the wheel, it becomes apparent that lying, cheating, stealing hasn't prepared them (nor can it) for leadership.

In a world where reality bats last, fantasy (lying, cheating, stealing) always gets called out eventually.

I get that. But until they show up in the same numbers to the British elections it doesn’t really change anything.

I hope so. They need an intervention in Britain...we have had at least a stay in the form of Trump here, so we will see how much time that saves us.

Britain is further along in issues with illegal immigration, trampling on rights, etc.

If they don’t Brexit, I think that sends a clear signal that the will of the people is null and void.
