Even if I wanted very badly to see MLK as a Communist, an actual Communist ideologue who wanted to subvert everything to Communism I should add, more than a useful idiot to Communism, as badly as liberals see Nixon as Satan incarnate I should add, the facts simply don’t bear out especially after his essay stating that Christianity and Communism can never be intermingled. The closest thing he’s got to being a Communist is that he was ultimately a dupe and a useful idiot to Communism, not a fellow traveler or a card-carrying member. Heck, I wouldn’t even be surprised if Harry Belafonte ordered for that hit on MLK as a response to that essay, knowing just how much of a far-left ideologue that jerk is.
Is MLK a sexual pervert? Yes, he is. Is he a plagiarist? Like Thomas Jefferson, yes, he is a plagiarist? Is there evidence to him being a closet agnostic, probably (I’d probably argue he’s closer to an open Christian in beliefs than Thomas Jefferson was. At least MLK didn’t write something like the Jefferson Bible that gutted any and all divinity of Christ, or call the Triune God Cerberus in utter mockery). Was he an idiot to denounce Vietnam? You bet. Does he really deserve deification status? Absolutely not. But there’s still no evidence to suggest he continued to adhere to Communism. Any more than Nixon or Lincoln qualify as Communists.
