What King David did was made public knowledge and he suffered greatly for it. MLK Jr is said to poop flowers and no one is allowed to call him imperfect. I think it is the media image of MLK Jr that folks are dissing.
If I had been a black man in 1960, I’d have preferred Malcolm X to MLK. I find him a much more interesting person, and appreciate that folks admit he was a flawed human being.
Honestly, I’d probably feel disgust towards Malcolm X, since he was openly Communist and tried to engineer a violent revolt. MLK is a flawed human being, so here’s one person who admits that bit.
