That’s from the article you posted. The “researcher” of course is an idiot. Genesis and the other early books of the Bible were based on oral stories that are much older. And not stories as in “made up”, but stories that had a strict prescribed manner of telling due to there NOT being a written language.
Scholars who know Hebrew and study the Bible say it was assembled during the time of King David or Solomon, about 1000
B.C. by one author. He did use multiple sources, some he names directly in the Bible, such as the Book of Jasher, the Book of the Wars of the Lord, etc.
I am referring, of course, to the first five books of the Old Testament. Finkel probably knows better.
You REALLY should study who, when and where the Bible was written.
