REPUBLICAN SENATOR SAYS GOP-LED SENATE HAS DONE ‘NOTHING’ EXCEPT CONFIRM TRUMP JUDGES

last line in story
Democrats have expressed concern at the long-standing effects of Trump’s wave of judicial nominees. Critics have noted that a large majority of judges nominated by Trump are white men and voiced worries about how the judges will affect rights for LGBTQ individuals, women and racial minorities and how the judges will rule on contentious national topics like immigration and abortion.
List of federal judges appointed by Donald Trump
‘There are currently 63 nominations to Article III courts awaiting Senate action, including 2 for the Courts of Appeals, 59 for the District Courts, and 2 for the Court of International Trade.[3]
There are currently 4 vacancies on the U.S. Courts of Appeals, 118 vacancies on the U.S. District Courts, 4 vacancies on the U.S. Court of International Trade,[3] and 16 announced federal judicial vacancies that will occur before the end of Trump’s first term (2 for the Courts of Appeals and 14 for District Courts).
[4] Trump has not made any recess appointments to the federal courts.’

Huge number of Judges listed as ‘ nomination reported by the Senate Judiciary Committee” as well as ‘nomination pending before the Senate Judiciary Committee’
Another good week. Keep those Confirmations coming - especially of Circuit Court judges.
I think there are only four remaining vacancies in the circuit courts, which would leave Trump five short of Carter’s record if he gets them all-—assuming some don’t retire or assume senior status before 2020.
Carter has that record because the Congress created a number of judgeships during his term. So not exactly apples to apples. But sill great that Trump is close to matching it.
Importantly, the 9th has 18 senior judges that President Trump and the senate can replace with new judges. 9 of these senior judges were Democrat appointees.

DEMOCRAT-LED HOUSE HAS DONE NOTHING EXCEPT HARASS THE PRESIDENT.
