Speed limits? California? I drove there a year ago and its like this: far right lane 70 mph, next lane over 80 mph inside lane over 90mph
Willie Green is heartbroken.
+. I kinda miss Willie at times like this.
Bart : Maybe you know why a high-roller like Hedley Lamarr is interested in Rock Ridge.
Mongo : Don’t know. Got to do with where choo-choo go.
Bart : Mongo, why would Hedley Lamarr care about where the choo-choo goes?
Mongo : Don’t know. Mongo only pawn in game of life.
Good catch. I thought it was “M”illion.
lol....
I was thinking the same thing.
High speed train should be built—BUT from LA to Las Vegas Nevada! Or from San Francisco to Reno. These line would make money. Profits from them could fund the fS to lA run.
In our home he’s been named Noxious Newsom with his aunt Noxious Nancy (Pelosi)
That’s why they don’t need this high speed train. :)
The repeated efforts on high speed trains from LA to LV has been attempted for decades by various con gamers. It has always encountered the same reasons against the concept.
The plan never starts from LA. You have to drive to Victorville, park your vehicle at an expensive rate, get on the train which takes you somewhere in the desert outskirts of LV. Then a bus ride takes you to an LV tram elevated station (another boondoggle). That gives you adventures along Paradise Road ( wheels may fall off and doors may not close. Packing a parachute advised.) Those stations dump you on the back side of strip hotels with significant walks to the lobby. Note: you will be charged for the room phone you don’t use and the garage parking fee for the vehicle you didn’t bring. Don’t fight it. Your weekend in Vegas is about four hours, (two if you brought the family). It is time to head back to Victorville and hope you have enough money to ransom your vehicle.
I almost forgot to tell you the high speed train cannot travel fast. The road bed can’t support it. Get a round trip Southwest flight. It will be cheaper than therapy.
I think the relevant number is under one billion.
More important than the dollars are the number of lawsuits initiated by California, which is about fifty (50) and is more than those initiated by the other 49 states combined.
Seems like payback is in order.
