No argument there. Had we set upon a Moon base decades ago, we’d know for sure the effect of cosmic radiation upon our biology.

Science is funny that way.../s

We have a LONG way to go to explore the universe (let alone our solar system).

We are not going anywhere. Radiation, weightlessness, micrometeorites and mean time to failure rates with limited to no spares, in our current ship capabilities, makes it not workable.

Now you get ships with gravitic drives and materials lighter and stronger and can shield against radiation and debris and you’ll have something.
