Hardly any corn in the ground here in north central Ohio.Too wet to do much of anything.Plus the ground is too cool,too many nights in the 40’s.Same problems in western Ohio,my SIL says no fields planted in the Lima area.There's more rain predicted too.I would consider June first as the cutoff date for planting corn.After that we will be forced to plant soybeans.This absolutely the worst start ever seen in this area and for much of the Midwest.Expect the prices for everything at the supermarket to take a huge jump.Two years in a
row of this weather would be a national calamity.What do we do when all the grain reserves are exhausted?
