He’s not a child now and he wasn’t one then either. He’s a man and narrowly escaped roadside bombs and ambushes. He was in combat with the 82nd in Fallujah. Some people got hit some didn’t. That’s the way it is. I prayed hard. He fought hard. I just don’t like the honor of our warriors sullied. Regardless of why we went there. Same thing with Vietnam. When he first came back we talked and he had doubts about our involvement. So did I. But I told him to never be ashamed of your service. All I’m saying is you have to be careful when criticising foreign actions cause it can be very bad for moral and can play into the hands of our enemies.
