I went to Sunnyside Arena in Queens with my Dad in 1948 and saw Gorgeous George and Primo Carnera. I had won front row seats on the Dennis James radio sports show. I was 12 years old. Thanks for bringing back that memory.
I heard of Gorgeous George. Lou Albano started wrestling around that time. I remember the guys who came later on, Bruno Sammartino, Bobo Brazil, Haystacks Calhoun, etc.
