STEM graduates only? Well that’s good, STEM is important, but the kids still should have SOME amount to pay off.
I would hope that the millenials who majored in “Transgender Social Justice” and “Black Lesbian Literature” don’t get a dime for their worthless degrees.

It will stimulate the economy. These kids will have hundreds of dollars to spend on items instead of interest. More billionaires would be smart to do this. Not everything needs to have government involvement.

What’s the catch , what will the students have to sign and give up

Hey, if a person wants to voluntarily write a check for someone else, more power to them.
Fully agreed. But this is not altruism. I am convinced he did this to push a political agenda. Sort of a trial balloon for "see how wonderful loan forgiveness will be?" Because the reasons he gives are the same ones proponents are arguing.

He will be a racist next year when he doesn’t do it for the 2020 class...

There probably was some political motivation behind it.
But we could turn this around and say, "see, if individuals want to do this, just fine. Just no forced government (taxpayer) bailout of student debt.
I say this with some approaching college in my family.

Sorry for those that sacrificed or saved... And those that had to drop out because of finances. Now working at McDonalds.
But, all in all, it's his money. He's trying to do something good.

Can you imagine the feeling of the kid who is just 1 credit shy graduating this semester?

It's not like a diploma from Morehouse (or any "historically Africa American college") is worth anything.
Back in Jim Crow days it was a good education, but now that the top African American students are snapped up by the Ivies, and the second tier by the state universities, it's bottom of the barrel time.
It still looks good on the resume of a preacher, but that's about it.

Great life lesson eh? Someone has always picked up the tab for them and now, just as they are about to shoulder the responsibility of adults, someone comes along and picks up the tab.
Lesson learned: Someone else will always pick up the tab.

Actually this class has started a fund that will help pay off tuition for the class of 2020 and after. They are giving back. Its inspiring hearing these young kids doing this. They could have said thanks and went on with life doing nothing. Maybe the future isnt screwed like we thought.

Thank God for CNN, without whom

Let me guess. You can look into a bowl of
alphabet soup and read “Portnoy’s Complaint.”
