Fellow travelers in the media. Most of these have been recorded and are tailor-made for social media. The Onion has a library full of Biden buffoonery. So, despite the medias best efforts, most of the gaffs will be (re)seen by large portions of the electorate.
Second, pretend that the Obama presidency was an overwhelming success. Convincing the Democratic base will be easy. Independent, swing voters remain more skeptical. At some point the former VP will be asked to cite concrete examples. That soup is a bit thin. The failed ObamaCare experiment, a sluggish economy, flat wages and the rise of ISIS (ISIL) all combine to make that a tough sell. The on-coming train of a serious investigation of the origins of the spying on the Trump campaign wont make things any easier.
Third, you must ignore and/or belittle the amazing successes of the Trump Administration. They are not insignificant. The Clinton team focused on one theme. Remember, Its the economy, stupid! The media has done a pretty good job of convincing average Americans that they got little out of the tax cuts. Convincing them that they are not benefiting from the roaring Trump economy will not be as easy. People not only see it, they feel it.
The Trump accomplishments extend well beyond a strong economy. The ISIS savages (the guys that President Obama called a JV team) have been decapitated. Our friends and adversaries have been put on notice, there is a new sheriff in town. He made it clear to our allies in NATO that the days of the free ride are ending. After sizing up the chubby dictator from North Korea, Trump began to tighten the anaconda grip. Kim may not realize it yet, but that labored breathing he is experiencing signals the beginning of the end of his nuclear ambitions.
After decades of promises to make America energy independent, Donald Trump is making good on it. Thanks in part to his pro-energy policies, we are quickly becoming an international energy powerhouse.
Candidate Trumps critics mocked him when he promised to renegotiate NAFTA and get a better deal. They mock no more. That may explain why they are more guarded concerning the current Chinese trade negotiations.
President Trumps accomplishments extend well beyond these. They are all the more impressive when we consider the headwinds he has faced. The shameless, endless investigations, the vicious attacks and the withering criticism from an antagonist press would have bested a lesser man. This President has succeeded in spite of it. And that may represent his greatest accomplishment of all.
If youre advising candidate Biden, do you recommend appeasing the far left in your base? The stratospherically expensive Green New Deal, extending voting rights to terrorists or Medicare for all, none of them play well in Peoria. You are pretty much ham-strung on border security as well.
So as you take an objective look at the circumstances, what do you suggest? The tried and true strategy of course, is to stick to name calling. Call Trump a hate-filled, rich racist or a white nationalist (whatever that is). Remind people that Trump is little more than Putins personal hand puppet. A bit shop warn, but desperate times may require it.
All things considered, youre probably stuck with, Im not Trump!
The ISIS savages (the guys that President Obama called a JV team) have been decapitated.
They no longer hold the major territories they captured, they and their thugs are fleeing. They have no more oil revenues. They are seen as a bunch of losers.
And yes, Trump defeated them easily, where the Bamster never even tried.
Nice try at historical revisionism though......
Zippy and val jar the enemy used isis to help with the caliphate
The ISIS leader remain at large so ISIS has not been decapitated - defeated or minimized perhaps, but not decapitated - which means that the leaders are dead and they are not.
So the statement that ISIS has been decapitated is false.
The phrase “historical revisionism” is a misnomer here and out of place
They can always go with, "pushing granny of a cliff"
According to whom??
Prove it
We dont know much about who is and isnt alive
False. Bagdaddi and other ISIS leaders remain at large.
I wonder if Bagdaddi and the other ISIS leader might want to reconstitute the old team and go for another miles long ride across the desert again, I wonder how that would work out for them this time around?
Powerless is what they are.
That's decapitation. They no longer have control, which is all they wanted.
Keep on pretending though. This could be fun.
“President Trumps accomplishments extend well beyond these. They are all the more impressive when we consider the headwinds he has faced. The shameless, endless investigations, the vicious attacks and the withering criticism from an antagonist press would have bested a lesser man.”
And President Trump thrives in such conditions.
I sincerely believe he feeds off the negativity thrown at him.
W Bush took a rap on the knuckles (Social Security reform) and sniveled like a whipped pup.
Donald Trump shines that SOB up and jams it up their butts....sideways.
The Onion, fake news because it is parody and not 100% fact.
Just wait, the left will go after The Onion and other such publications if they mock lefty causes/people.
Is it just me, or does this article have an awkward start?

McCain, Graham, and Rubio helped them arm the caliphate.
Bagdaddi just released a recent video of himself and other leader in a meeting. So yes he’s alive.
Word mean things if you cannot use them properly then no one understands what you are talking about or mean:
decapitate
verb (used with object), de·cap·i·tat·ed, de·cap·i·tat·ing.
to cut off the head of; behead:
Derived Forms
decapitation, noun
decapitator, noun
Not having control is not the same as “decapitation”.
Not having control means not having control; it does not mean something else no matter what you might wish to have it mean.
Disincorporated might be the better description.
“Vanquished” or “subdued” would be the correct terms as they are currently defeated, but not gone.
Vanquish:
to conquer or subdue by superior force, as in battle.
to defeat in any contest or conflict;
be victorious over: to vanquish one’s opponent in an argument.
to overcome or overpower:
He vanquished all his fears.
disincorporate:
to remove from an incorporated state or status.
to become removed from an incorporated state or status.
Nearby words
disincentive, disincentivize, disinclination, disincline, disinclined, disinfect, disinfectant, disinfest, disinfestant, disinflate
I was thinking more literally from the Latin, to dis-incorporate would be to remove the body (corpus).
In either case, to decapitate (caput)or to dis-incorporate, the head is separated from the body, and an entity will find it hard to survive either way.
And it was time stamped??
