As most people know, and for those who would like to know, I am strongly Pro-Life, with the three exceptions - Rape, Incest and protecting the Life of the mother - the same position taken by Ronald Reagan. We have come very far in the last two years with 105 wonderful new.....

....Federal Judges (many more to come), two great new Supreme Court Justices, the Mexico City Policy, and a whole new & positive attitude about the Right to Life. The Radical Left, with late term abortion (and worse), is imploding on this issue. We must stick together and Win....
....for Life in 2020. If we are foolish and do not stay UNITED as one, all of our hard fought gains for Life can, and will, rapidly disappear!
Maybe this is the best that can be done legally for now, but in the rape/incest cases, there still could be robust public policy to support mothers who will carry these babies to term and adopt them out.
We’d like to have the state cover everything that it theoretically ought to, but politics is the art of the possible. It’s far more publicly palatable here to set up the honey first, than the vinegar.
I agree in these three cases we are still punishing the baby for the crimes of an adult. But the mother who will carry full term 9 months should be the one to decide.
So if a woman became pregnant due to rape, but decided to carry, but then changed her mind a week out from birth, you would be cool with her decision to kill the babe? What crime did the baby comit that justifies it’s murder?
I listened to a pediatric surgeon recently that said there are virtually zero cases where the life of the mother is a concern.
Medicine has grown to the point where early primi babies can be delivered and cared for until healthy. With surgery in the womb and fetal monitoring, very few babies are at risk either.
Protecting the life of the mother is almost never necessary and is often used as the catch all for abuse, especially when they include mental health.
And then there are those who simply claim rape and incest when that was not the case.
So unless those BS factors are accounted for abortion numbers won’t drop one iota.
Incidentally, I forget who the guy was that got slammed by the press for saying “legitimate rape” - what he should have said was “bona fide” since this is the context in which he was speaking. The press knew that, as purveyors of speech, but would rather let the error stand since it suited their purposes.

Well, that’s true. A criminal shouldn’t have the same rights a different father would.

The problem with the loopholes is that they don’t address the most basic question: Is a baby in the womb a person (with the right to life) or not? If the answer is yes, those exceptions don’t hold up; if the answer is no, then there is no legal reason to prevent abortion in ANY case.
There’s the crux of it.
For a moment, be the baby in the womb knowing only “I am!”
Remove “How?” from it all.
Then, is a D&E (slice her up & suck her out) okey doke? Yes or no?
Isn’t a “D & E” done to remove a dead baby?
You have a very interesting black and white answer with no shades of gray in between.
IMO once the fetus takes on a human shape and has a heart beat it then is a living human. Period. At which point the child deserves the same rights as per the Constitution as any other person.
It’s fun cornering a loony leftist on what the baby is. If you can find one that does not get hysterical and start screaming, they have no answer.

President Trump is setting backfires to remove fuel from the Democrats 24/7 forest fire in preparation for the 2020 election.
The President has answered two of the questions that the Democrats had hope to beat him up over. He will not have to answer them again. He merely has to point out if asked, to see his previous answer to those question.
President Trump sees the entire picture, not just one aspect of it. It is not within his power to change everything so he has to pick and choose on which hill to die on.
The states and the Supreme Court will be the ones to decide this issue.
So what do you call it when a dead baby is removed from the womb?
Wherever people set the date/time of a “baby” being created, then it has to apply across the board - no exceptions.
