I opposed Amash’s 2010 congressional run even before I learned that he was a Paultard: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2463175/posts
I didn’t comment in that thread, but I do remember it. Ex-State Sen. Bill Hardiman would’ve been far better (I believe I endorsed him). He would’ve been Gubernatorial or Senatorial material in the 9 years since, had he won the nomination and seat.
Update: It looks as if GOP state representative Jim Lower will run for Congress in MI-93 (in the GOP prinary against Amash, unless Amash forgoes reelection to attempt a Liberaltarian spoiler run for president). https://mobile.twitter.com/Politics1com/status/1130448527241490432?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Eembeddedtimeline%7Ctwterm%5Eprofile%3APolitics1com&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.politics1.com%2F
I’d rather have a candidate from Kent County (where most of the CD’s voters live) rather than from Ionia County (which is from where Lower hails), but I’d definitely take Lower over Amash.
