Hundreds of migrant families will be flown to California in as many as three flights a week as U.S. Border Patrol agents continue to struggle with the growing number of illegals crossing into the U.S., officials said.

Flights carrying 120 to 135 people were set to begin flying Friday to San Diego from the Rio Grande Valley in Texas and would continue to do so indefinitely, Border Patrol's interim San Diego sector chief Douglas Harrison said.

Harrison called it a “contingency operation” that would see at least three flights a week making the trip. Each flight would cost the government around $6,000, officials said.

Oh, take a few hours and learn basic civics. See what the Constitution entitles a President to do and see what it doesn't.

Trump is doing the best he can with a hostile and negative press and congress.

The September 2001 Authorization to Use Military Force enables the actions in Syria. He’s following the law here. If you don’t like is, send an encouraging note to Adam Schiff, who is trying to repeal the law.

As to threatening Iran, or indirectly, Venezuela? He’s following the Constitution here. You might ask Pelosi to call for a Constitutional convention to repeal the First Amendment, and the Constitutional provisions to remove the explicit Presidential power to appoint and receive ambassadors and the implicit authority to recognize foreign governments and to conduct diplomacy with other countries generally. I’m sure Congress can do a better job, wouldn’t you agree?

At this point in time he does not have the legal authority to summarily deport anyone who requests refugee status. He is following the law. Would you prefer he breaks the law?

The best he can do, since the democrats will not change the law, is to apply the law in such a way that the donks feel enough heat to get off their jackasses and allow them to be legally (under US law) be denied entry, and returned to the first country outside the one they are fleeing, where they DO have legal standing under International Law to request asylum.

Ok, educate me. Why can Trump as commander in chief build American military installations - including walls - in Syria, in the name of national security, but he can’t build a wall to protect America’s own border in the name of national security?

That authorization allows him to act to protect US from terrorism. He’s used it to battle terrorists in Syria and Iraq. Are you saying it wouldn’t allow him to repel Syrian or Iraqi terrorists at our own border?

Exactly! remember how some Freepers were complaining how Obama was abusing laws & creating laws just by his Pen & Phone. Now they want Trump to do the same. We shouldn’t lower ourselves to their level. Unless they physically attack us. We need to fight to restore our Republic if we can.

No, I want him to use his constitutional powers as commander in chief to protect this country from invasion - including by potential terrorists. He uses his commander in chief powers to fight terrorists overseas, but when it comes to building a wall to keep them from coming across our border, he refers to Congress. Result: no protection , we’re wide open to invasion in the homeland. Those migrant caravans are an invasion

The real fix for the asylum scam is to rewrite our asylum law. Congress has to do that.”

A wall would fix it. Trump can, but won’t, build a wall from one end of the border to the other , under his powers as commander in chief, and his obligation as president to repel invasions. He’s building walls to repel terrorists in Iraq and Syria. But not at our own border. The RINOs and Kochs still have him cowed. He’s been swamped by the swamp

He has been building a wall ever since the day he took office. People like you choose to believe the dims and use their talking points that it doesn’t count since there is already some metal junk there.

A wall will not fix the asylum scam, there is a setback on the border and technically asylum seekers are on US soil already when they get to the wall in areas that have one.

If there was already a wall down the entire border asylum people could still get their feet on our soil and say asylum and that is all they need to do. Legally Border Patrol would have to let them in through the wall. If we had a wall it would slow them a bit by forcing them to use Ports of Entry but not stop them. Feet on soil, magic word that’s it right now. That law has to be changed.

No, please don’t. My parents can barely survive the liberals surrounding them. Although, then, maybe I could convince them to move here.

Agree! I don’t get it. Why are we allowing this nonsense? Do other countries just allow illegals to enter and suck up resources? I am so disappointed. We are being invaded from within and outside, as well.

Because Congress alone allocates funding. Bombing Syria is irrelevant.

IMHO Thast's not going to happen.

We know democrats believed that had just about brought in enough illegals to establish permanent one party rule at the ballot box.

But Donald Trump gave them a severe shock when he pulled off his upset win in 2016.

So what we are witnessing now is what democrats hope will be the final big push to bring in enough millions of illegals to swing the demographics enough to give them a permanent majority.

Illegals can't vote?

Sure - and Santa Claus is real...

Are you in a border town? Just curious.

I have friends in El Paso who say the same thing is happening there.....churches are trying to take these invaders in, until We the Tax Payer can get them on a more comfortable foot.
