President Donald Trump said that the FBI and other agencies spying on his 2016 presidential campaign was treason and said the people behind the attempt to frame him and the campaign warranted “long jail sentences.”
“My Campaign for President was conclusively spied on. Nothing like this has ever happened in American Politics,” Trump wrote on Twitter on May 17.
“A really bad situation. TREASON means long jail sentences, and this was TREASON!” he added.

But the bottom line is obvious. It is indeed treason.

Pay CLOSE attention to the definition, there is a REASON Trump is saying it this way:
Treason. Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death,

It’s technically sedition but 90% of Americans have no idea the difference so “Treason” works for the average Joe.
Once the truth gets out the Repubs will say, okay, we’ve woke everybody up. Now we can move along. No need to pursue this any further and all this will die out. As always, nothing will happen and we’ll get the shaft as we always do.

Treason is the only crime for which the Constitution prescribes the punishment. It’s not jail. It’s death.
