Doesn’t the fact that there were foreign powers involved (UK and Italy) make it more Treason than Sedition?

Only if you want to declare those countries to be our enemies. "Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason ..."

I hear ya, but...if their intelligence communities are participating on an official basis to overthrow our elected government...

I admit that their intelligence agencies might well have been acting on their own, not like our OWN damned intelligence agencies, which almost CERTAINLY had the support of the people at the top in the White House.

How about if we simply state that our people were working with people who might be our enemies?

I am being rhetorical...I understand your point!
