To them being well off is a sin and should be punishable by death

Not enough. Stinking rich people buy things like boats, cars, shoes, and $80 handjobs in Florida.

You can get a hand job for $80 in Florida? Who knew?

I wonder if this is priced into the hedonic adjustments to the CPI series.

Listening to the left, rich are people that make more money than they do. That is unless they are trying to out virtue each other. Basically it’s a moving target.

In total, they say 705 billionaires lived in the US in 2018 and they had a combined total wealth of more than $3 trillion. But they’re clustered in cities, according to the group, and San Francisco has the highest concentration.
One in every 11,612 San Franciscans is a billionaire. They could, theoretically, brush elbows with one of the city’s approximately 7,000 strong homeless population.

>>>What is rich?

We could look at the top decile of households. That begins at about $179,000. The top 5% kicks in at $236,000. The top 1% starts at $434,000.

It’s a protected class/blood-line, with their paid puppets, and we are the sheep.

History repeats.

Good to see you, Onyx. God bless.

The federal government, however, recently cut taxes substantially. That means those in the top income brackets will get to keep more of their income unless, or until, an Ocasio-Cortez-style tax plan is implemented.

People don't get it. It's the rich who drive this economy. They invest and that creates jobs, and those people spend more on goods and services, which means more people hired to produce more. How many of you were hired by a poor person?

CNN: Your scorn is misdirected. Your last kum-bae-ya President ran up more debt than all of the past Presidents combined, yet saw some of the worst unemployment and economic dislocations ever seen. Shame on you, CNN. No wonder your ratings are in the toilet.

You, too sweet maggief!

I LOL @ you emphasizing VANDERBILT!

So true.

Anderson Pooper-Scooper has managed to climb the ladder in “journalism” despite sticking with CNN. His gig at 60 Minutes is a real feather in his sombrero.

Wealth accumulation above and beyond the needs of survival is a mental pathology. What the sam hell does anyone need a billion dollars for other than as an expression of obsessive compulsive disorder. Capitalism’s Achilles heel is its tendency towards monopoly. Free Republicans call that - globalism. Lot of drug lords are insanely rich. You gonna justify that crap? Wealth has a motley tradition of being used for oppression. You are witnessing that sad fact by the leftist billionaire censorship of Internet conservatism. Wealth is a tool and has all the moral imperative of its controllers. The enemy is insanity and its destruction is our goal. Banks, bankers, banking.

Do you have personal wealth in excess of the amount needed for survival? If so, then STFU. If you truly wear a hairshirt, my apologies, but I rather doubt that’s the case.

So how far above subsistence are you, personally? Do you live from paycheck to paycheck? What gadgets do you have that are not necessary for survival?

You and Obama sound identical in deciding how much OTHER people have. In Obama’s case, none of is applies to him. He’s a hypocritical narcissist but surely you’re not.

Or did I miss a sarcasm tag?
