When examining the particulars of the RC cases, it is worthwhile to examine aggregate numbers of male priest actions against young:
a) females
b) males
If the population of children in an RC church is roughly 50/50 female-to-male, and they are more or less equally opportunity targets of the male priest (and not all alter boys, for example), then this will tell us something about the pederist’s preference for homosexual vs heterosexual targets.
The RC church cases provide, perhaps, a large enough sample size of data points, and m/f evidence, to draw some conclusions. And perhaps push back against the oft-heard claim that “pedophiles are not homosexuals” and “homosexuals are not pedophiles.”
This has been studied. It’s about homosexual activity.

There’s a slight of hand with this phrase. Technically a pedophile is someone who pursues pre-adolescents for sex. That’s not the common usage in news reports. The average user calls anyone a pedophile who pursues any minor for sex.
News reports play on this misunderstanding. It’s normal behavior for homosexuals to pursue teenagers for sex (almost all the Church scandal cases). That’s why the MSM will quote some academic who says “homosexuals aren’t pedophiles” knowing the public will misunderstand.
