Iran, fwiw, is the closest ally of the government that we installed in Irsaq. In fact, the president and cabinet who came in dyer we ousted Saddam, had been refugees sheltering in Iran.

Now, we’re being asked to fight for the Saudis’s cause by going to war against Iran. I think we should attend to America’s interests here at home, instead
Not to mention, the worst of the fighting in Iraq occurred when the Sunnis (who demand that their 33% should politically dominate the 64% Shia) blew up the Golden Dome shia shrine.
So Saudis are still at the root of almost all of the middle east warfare.

I think we should too. But the two are not mutually exclusive.
The US has legitimate interests in a military confrontation with Iran, even if the Saudis didn’t exist. Legitimate national interests of a strategic variety.
