My wife who was a CO resident but has been here in Canada for 20 years still gets calls from election candidates in CO. Problem is she can’t vote in State elections because you MUST be a resident.

Yes, it pisses off the wife if anyone calls either say at 7AM or after 9 AM at night, and it is not an emergency. She got testy with my mom about it, who called for some dumb reason.

I think robocallers have seen this story and are cranking it up to 11 as they know their time is running out.

I’d have no problem with robocaller operators being droned with extreme prejudice.

Yesterday I got a call on my cell phone from a company I have a home warranty with, concerning my policy. My caller ID showed their number as having the area code of my phone, not the state I am currently living in, nor where the property concerned is. I asked the lady about it and she said their call centers were in several states, none of which was the area code of my cell phone.

It seems to be more than cold-call telemarketers who are doing this now.

Pretty much.

And RoboCalls are just the beginning -— you’re TV, phone, and laptop will eventually turn on when you enter the room, and based on what you were discussing to yourself in the toilet, will start showing you advertisements for various products.

Of course, if you say you dislike the government, you’re just going to disappear.
