Conservatives Must Stand Up to Climate Change Bullying

In support of his position, Graham argued that Republicans need to appeal to young people who support the climate scare. Marc Morano, publisher of the influential Washington DC-based Climatedepot.com, responded, “I can’t imagine that any millennial who cares about this is going to be voting Republican because they are activists at their core. If you’re a millennial and you’re skipping school and all excited about the Green New Deal (GND), there is no way Republicans can appeal to them with some sort of lite version of the GND.”

“You don't capitulate to young voters because they have been brainwashed into believing that mankind is driving a climate 'crisis,'” said Morano. “You lead and reveal to them that what they think they know just ain't so.”

Morano explains why so many Republican support climate alarmism: “They just don’t want to be seen as ‘evil deniers’ and they are prepared to give in wherever they can. They want to have less toxicity in the media, in town halls, in social circles around the Washington establishment. By supporting the climate scare, they’re going to be better liked, less embarrassed by their positions and can say, ‘you can’t call us deniers anymore!’ That gives them a level of comfort at parties, campaign events, speeches and town halls.”

Clearly, what is now urgently needed is for the Trump administration to go ahead with the President’s Commission on Climate Security. Then there would be an alternative federal climate change report with the seal of the U.S. government on it. Morano summed up, “We’ve never had a challenge to the UN from an official source. A Presidential Commission report would be the first one ever. Let’s just hope that it goes through.”

Conservatives' first mistake was denying climate change. Of course the climate is changing. It's always changing. Is some of it caused by humans? Of course it is. Since the first cavemen lit a fire and put pollutants into the air, some measure of climate change was from that point on attributed to human activity.

The argument should've always been; how is it catastrophic and so what if the climate is changing?

When I see Liberals selling their oceanfront mansions for pennies on the dollar, then I'll start believing them...

But, if they do, I might one...

What is the relationship between 1’s and 0’s inside a computer program and saving the planet?

Who says the planet wants lower CO 2? From what I read, the planet can take care of itself just fine and life for its species will be better at MUCH higher atmospheric CO 2 and temperatures.

We must make hay while the sun shines, because eventually the ice age cometh. Followed by starvation, plague and systematic collapse of the arts, sciences, and life spans. When the world grows colder, people just flat out die off.

I suspect that at the highest levels, this is what is wanted. A return to Earth population 500 Million, with a few thousand elites using them as they see fit. Their own writings confirm this.

Instead of reading a dumb mis-info/fake news article written by Jay Lehr, you need to be keeping up with what is happening in your state.

Here's a couple from your state on global warming/renewable energy.

New York targets 1.5 TWh of new renewables with latest solicitation

GE Renewable Energy Announces Solar + Storage System for Upstate New York

Consider that CO2 is slightly less than one tenth of a percent of our atmosphere or about 37 molecules of CO2 For every 38,000 molecules of air. Most CO2 comes from natural sources. CO2 is essential for life on this planet and is the basis of all green plants which literally feed on CO2. To assume that literally molecular level changes of CO2 are the sole driver of the earth’s climate and that variations in solar output, the circulation of warm ocean water or any other factors have no effect on climate is ludicrous. The sun drives this planet’s climate.

Excellent, well written summary of the facts. The natural CO2 input from natural causes will be handily handled by the natural photoautotrophic action that turns CO2 into oxygen. We all benefit from the oxygen in the process. In fact, growing more trees provides more oxygen and all kinds of beneficial products. More maple syrup for my pancakes and french toast is one of them.
