Gillibran is using campaign rhetoric with tired old words like
universal back ground-checks, I think there are eight states with them now and the background checks mean a buyer is asked for his/her ID (yeah, the same kind you need for voting) by "the seller and fills out ATF Form 4473 with personal information such as age, address, race, and criminal history, if any."
Gillibrand knows she has to address the gun issue...she must know only the dishonest will pay absolutely no attention to her thread-bare proclamation. Honest citizens obey the laws and are protected from tyranny by the Second Amendment....Most of the Progressives are light on the US Constitution...their sworn duty is to protect the Constitution and the American citizen. I expect my elected to obey the laws and their oaths....Ms. Gillibrand thus far shows great weakness...............
