So the groups will just go off campus where Swarthmore can’t touch them and then all heck will break loose.
WTG, you brainiacs. You just made a small problem into a much bigger one.

The alleged "constitutinal rights" of the students restrict the actions of the government, not the civil society. A private college may permit or ban student associations as its board of directors sees fit; the Constitution has no bearing on the matter.
Um, I believe it does actually...
17. Swarthemore College
This small liberal arts college has maintained consistent government funding in the face of federal cuts. The college's 2017 to 2018 budget reveals that it received $2.1 million in government grants

I believe Federal law dictates that if you're receiving money from the government, you have to comply with the Constitution.

Hadn't heard that term in years. Yes,I was also a GDI in my undergraduate years. Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) was known for the number of fraternities founded there which later went national. Many of my friends were members of Greek organizations. For many of them, it was a financial issue. Living and eating at the fraternity house was cheaper than elsewhere. I had no desire to live with people who engaged in drunken parties, so saw no point in joining, even though I was invited.
