This was in the Sankei Shimbun here in Tokyo this afternoon. It was an editorial. Sankei is the major conservative, pro-Trump / anti-socialist daily paper here.

In their editorial 主張】北のミサイル 軍事挑発に決然と対処, they stated that the launches were serious enough to escalate to the need to have a UN Security Council meeting on it, seeing as the multiple launches on those two days were clear violations of UN Sanctions which the US, Japan, South Korea has been trying to keep in place. That to downplay or not call a meeting, means the sanctions are meaningless. This paper was very strong against Obama/Clinton handling of NK issue in the past: URL to story (in Japanese):

I wish the US once and for all would lift Article 9 from the Japanese and allow for them to once again have an offensive military. We have been the strongest of allies now for over 70 years. It’s long overdue
